Welcome to the February edition of our monthly e-commerce recap. This month saw a further decline from the previous one, reaching US$370.1 billion in February 2026. The slowdown reflects typical seasonal fluctuations in global e-commerce, but still marks an increase from February 2025, with 9.7%.
Revenue growth was primarily driven by Chinese e-commerce, which grew at a rate of 12.9% last month compared to February 2025.
Other regions increased at slower rates, including the US at 6.9%, Germany with 6.8% and the United Kingdom with 5.5%.
Across product segments, Care Products emerged as the top performer with 11.4% growth compared to last year. It is followed further behind by Furniture & Homeware (+8.8%) and Fashion (+8.7%).
The remaining segments also saw increases, though at lower rates, such as Hobby & Leisure with 7.7%.
A small group of major providers determines this field. They include
VISA and Mastercard, each approaching the 77.0% share of online store adoption
American Express, offered by 56.2% of global online stores

The e-commerce market is highly concentrated and unites a majority of revenues and growth in a small set of markets and players. At US$421 billion of net growth in 2026, 64% of that figure is being generated by only three markets. They are also the biggest ones, which fuels concentration further.
One year has passed, and the monthly recap is back in a new format. January set a tone for what's ahead with global e-commerce revenues reaching US$384.2 billion. This marks a slowdown from the previous holiday peak, but is still up 11.5% from January in 2025.
